Who we are
Ministers Fellowship International Europe (“MFI Europe”, “we”, “us”) is the controller of the personal information described in this notice. We are a membership organisation for ministers and church leaders across Europe.

What we collect, and why
When you send us an enquiry through the form on this website, we collect your name, email address, country, your church or organisation if you give it, and your message.
We use it to reply to you. Our lawful basis is legitimate interests: we have a genuine interest in responding to people who contact us, and if you have written to us you would reasonably expect a reply. We keep a record of that assessment and will share it on request.
When you register for a conference or event, we collect your name, email address, country, church or organisation, any dietary or accessibility requirements you tell us about, and a record of your payment.
We use it to give you a place, to contact you about the event, and to keep proper financial records. Our lawful basis for the booking itself is that it is necessary to perform our contract with you. For the financial records, it is our legal obligation to keep accounting records.
When you ask for updates by ticking the box on our form, we use your name and email address to send them. Our lawful basis is your consent. You can withdraw it at any time using the unsubscribe link in any message, or by emailing info@mfieurope.org. Withdrawing consent does not affect anything we sent beforehand.
Dietary and access requirements, if you give them when registering for an event, are treated separately and more carefully, because information about your health or a disability is what the law calls special category data.
We only collect it if you choose to give it — no booking depends on it. We use it to arrange your catering and access, which means sharing what is necessary with the conference venue and its caterer. Our lawful basis is your explicit consent, given by ticking the box beside those fields. You can withdraw it at any time by emailing info@mfieurope.org, though we cannot undo arrangements already made.
Please tell us what you need rather than why. “I need step-free access” or “no nuts” is enough; we do not need a diagnosis and would rather not hold one.
We do not use your details for any other purpose without telling you first. We do not knowingly collect information from children through this website.
Payment
We do not see or store your card details. Payments are handled by Squarespace Payments, whose payment processor is Stripe. Stripe receives and holds the card data. We keep a record of what was paid, when, and for what.
Who else sees it
We use service providers who act only on our instructions:
- Squarespace, which hosts this website and processes form submissions and bookings.
- Google, which provides our email, stores enquiries in a spreadsheet, and provides Google Analytics.
- Squarespace Payments and Stripe, which take card payments for events. Stripe is the payment processor behind Squarespace Payments and handles the card data itself.
These providers are based in the United States, so your information is transferred outside the United Kingdom. We rely on the UK Extension to the EU–US Data Privacy Framework where the provider holds a current certification covering that data, and on standard contractual safeguards where it does not.
We do not sell your information. We do not share it with anyone else unless the law requires it, or unless we tell you at the time — for example, passing a dietary requirement to a conference venue.
How long we keep it

We review what we hold periodically and delete what we no longer need.
Your rights
Under UK data protection law you have the right to:
- ask for a copy of the information we hold about you
- ask us to correct anything that is wrong
- ask us to delete it
- ask us to restrict how we use it
- object to our use of it where we rely on legitimate interests
- ask us to transfer it to another organisation
- withdraw consent where you have given it
To exercise any of these, email info@mfieurope.org. We will respond within one month, and there is no charge.
Complaints
If you are unhappy with how we have handled your information, please tell us first so we can put it right. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office:
